It’s always a great time to gather with friends and family to celebrate Labor Day, however it is a bittersweet reminder to all us inland divers as it indicates our time in the water is drawing to a close. This doesn’t mean the diving season is over, just that its getting closer to those cooler night where the water temps start to drop. Let’s look on the bright side though, there is still plenty of time to get out and dive and this Labor Day weekend is no exception. It’s a great time of year to visit PSC Blue Springs as the water is clearing up from a unusually wet summer. Right now is a great time as the visibility is clearing to upwards of 20 to 25 feet in the shallow area & 30 to 35 below the first thermocline. For those looking to go deep, below 90 foot isn’t the best as all the sediment is making its way to the bottom but it’s cold there anyway right!
We are open the entire weekend. This is the last weekend we observe our summer hours Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. & Labor Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Remember next week we will start on our Fall Season hours. Saturday & Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
So come on out and enjoy the last weekend of summer with us. Don’t forget we will be letting divers sign their name to our newest soon to be dive attraction aka “The Semi” We look forward to seeing everyone out to what is looking to be a beautiful weekend.
